I use my smartphone constantly, probably more than I'd like to admit. From the moment I wake up until I go to bed, it's never far from my hand. The apps I rely on most are messaging and navigation ones, because they save me a lot of time. As for news, I definitely prefer reading on a screen since it's quicker and I can switch between sources easily. Overall, I'd say technology has made my routine much easier. Paying bills, ordering food and staying in touch with friends now take seconds rather than hours, although sometimes it can feel a little overwhelming.
Describe a piece of technology you use every day that you find very helpful
You should say:
- what the piece of technology is
- how often and where you use it
- and explain why you find it so helpful

The piece of technology I'd like to talk about is my wireless headphones, which I bought about a year ago and now use every single day. They're small, lightweight earbuds that connect to my phone via Bluetooth, and honestly I'm not sure how I managed without them. I use them in all sorts of situations. In the morning, I listen to podcasts while I'm commuting on the bus, which helps me learn something new before I even get to work. During the day, I use them for online meetings, and in the evening I put them on while exercising or doing chores around the house, because music keeps me motivated. What makes them so helpful is the freedom they give me. Since there are no cables, I can move around without getting tangled, and the noise-cancelling feature blocks out the noise of traffic and crowds. This means I can concentrate much better, whether I'm studying or just trying to relax. They also have a long battery life, so I rarely worry about charging them. In a way, they've changed how I spend my time, allowing me to turn boring moments into productive or enjoyable ones. That's why I genuinely consider them one of the most useful gadgets I own.
Part 3
- How has technology changed the way people communicate with each other?
- Do you think people rely too much on technology nowadays?
- What might everyday technology look like in the future?

Technology has transformed communication enormously. People can now connect instantly across the world through video calls and messaging, which was unthinkable a few decades ago. However, I do think there's a risk of over-reliance. Many people struggle to do simple tasks without a device, and face-to-face conversation seems to be declining, especially among younger generations. Looking ahead, I imagine everyday technology will become even more integrated into our lives, perhaps through voice assistants, smart homes and wearable devices that monitor our health. While these advances could make life more convenient and efficient, I think we'll need to be careful to maintain a healthy balance and not lose our human connections.
